Security patrol reporting for strata buildings

Keep a clear record of patrol visits to building entries, common areas and service locations.

Building managers and strata security teams often need to review what happened overnight. Guard Checkpoint records when guards visit agreed checkpoint locations and provides daily patrol reports for the nominated recipients.

Build a route around the building

Entries and car parks

Place checkpoints at agreed entry points and parking areas so patrol records use recognisable location names.

Fire stairs and plant rooms

Include approved patrol points near fire stairs and service areas. The scan records attendance; guards still follow the building’s instructions for inspecting doors or equipment.

Common areas

Use checkpoint records to review visits to shared spaces and identify patrol gaps that need follow-up.

Agree on what a visit means

Define the route, expected patrol timing and checks with the building manager. A checkpoint scan does not certify a fire door or prove that a hazard was resolved; inspection and incident procedures still apply.
